On the same day Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett was reinstated by the league, it appears that Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph’s $50,000 fine for his role in the incident has been upheld, according to a report by NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Rudolph had been appealing the fine for the last few months, but there had been a delay in the process stemming from a backlog of appeals, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

After Garrett met with Commissioner Roger Goodell face-to-face on Monday, the NFL announced Wednesday that he had been reinstated effective immediately.

While Rudolph was hit with the fine, he did avoid suspension in the fallout of the altercation between himself and Garrett that incited a bench-clearing brawl between the Steelers and Browns during their Week 11 meeting in Cleveland.
