Report: Steelers OT Chukwuma Okorafor Set to Re-Sign with Pittsburgh
Steelers offensive tackle Chukwuma Okorafor will re-sign with the Steelers, according to https://twitter.com/MikeGarafolo/status/1503483800789078017?s=20&t=gewnKSdu5e0T5c-8HUVcwQ”>a
report by Mike Garafolo and Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL Network.
The starting right tackle for the Steelers in 2021, Okorafor has started 31 games over the past two years for the Steelers. He registered a team-high 6 false start penalties last season. He now returns as the veteran of the group. With a career-high of 1,007 snaps played in 2021, Okorafor registered 19 blown blocks, a career-high in volume, but in terms of blown block rate, a career-low.

Thus, it would appear the Steelers have their starting tackles in Okorafor and Dan Moore Jr. They could still look to upgrade if someone like Charles Cross happens to fall to them. That is certainly a scenario that could occur where they would have their hand forced.
However, for now, it appears the Steelers are likely to move to the interior of the offensive line for upgrades. With no right guard on the roster and a questionable center at best in Kendrick Green, the interior of the offensive line needs some upgrading to do. If the Steelers are to go even more run-heavy and help out Najee Harris and Mitchell Trubisky, they will need a stable offensive line. Re-signing Okorafor at the very least accomplishes that.
