This moves comes as a bit of a surprise due to to it happening only a day before the final regular season game of the season, and unless Pittsburgh gets some help, the final game of the football year overall. Buggs has played in 10 games this season, recording 17 total tackles with only 5 of them being solo tackles.
The 25-year-old Alabama product has failed to play more than 10 games in any of his 3 NFL season and hasn’t had nearly the impact many hoped he could provide. He missed time this season with an ankle injury.
Pittsburgh will face the Ravens in Baltimore Sunday afternoon in what’s likely Ben Roethlisberger’s final game.
