Report: Titans RB Derrick Henry Suffered Foot Injury, Could Miss Rest of Season

Steelers RB Derrick Henry

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry has suffered a potentially season-ending foot injury, according to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Henry was injured during the Titans’ 34-31 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, and will have an MRI performed on Monday to determine the issue, Schefter reported.

The Steelers are scheduled to face the Titans in Week 15, with a game at Heinz Field on Dec. 19.

Henry has been the top rushers in the NFL for three years running. He led the NFL in carries, yards, touchdowns and yards per game in 2019, 2020 and so far this season, and the Titans run the ball more than any other team in the league as a whole, leaning on Henry a lot.

Backup Darrynton Evans has also been dealing with an injury and has just two carries this season. He was placed on season-ending injured reserve.

The loss of Henry for even a short amount of time could be devastating to the Titans, and upset the balance of power in the AFC South, where Tennessee had been running away with the division at 6-2 and with a head-to-head win over the second-place, 3-5 Colts.
