Scouting Report: Florida WR Ricky Pearsall a Perfect Mid-Round Fit for Steelers
The NFL Combine is just days away from kicking off in Indianapolis, where the Pittsburgh Steelers will continue searching for their next group of draft picks. The roster reconstruction phase has already been set in motion, with their team needs becoming a bit more evident by the day. While upgrading the receiver room isn’t necessarily the biggest necessity, they will undoubtedly be in the market for another complimentary piece to add to the mix. One of the names to keep an eye on is Florida wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, a mid-round prospect for most but is one of the more underrated players in the entire draft class.
After making a trade for Allen Robinson last offseason, it seems obvious that the two sides will part ways given the amount of money left on his contract. The Steelers will have options to find another auxiliary pass catcher throughout the spring but finding the right fit is crucial. That’s where Pearsall comes in. The fifth year Senior posted a career-high 963 receiving yards last season and added on four touchdown grabs for the Gators offense. Now, he joins a supremely talented receiver class.
What skills set him apart from the pack?
