Senior Bowl: Florida WR Kadarius Toney Wins However He Wants

MOBILE, Ala. — Kadarius Toney is known in Florida as the “Human Joystick.”

That moniker never came as questionable given how Toney plays on the field. With electric speed, quickness, explosiveness, and a highlight tape that will remind many of Tavon Austin’s at West Virginia, Toney is a human joystick. However, that does not mean Toney is afraid to win with physicality, either.

“I manage with what the defender will give me,” Toney said. “If I feel like I want to run through his face, I’ll do that, but if I can evade him, I’ll do that too.”

Toney was one of the best receivers consistently all week in one-on-ones. No cornerback could cover his blend of speed, quickness, and technical precision in his releases and route running. Toney is cementing himself as a potential first-round pick after a strong week in Mobile.
