Several Former Steelers Advance to UFL Playoffs

Several former members of the Pittsburgh Steelers advanced to the UFL playoffs this weekend in search of a title and another shot in the NFL.

The United Football League 2024 postseason is here and a handful of former Pittsburgh Steelers will be competing these next two weekends for a ring and another shot in the National Football League. The UFL is in its first season since it was created from a merger between the USFL and the XFL, taking four teams from each league for its first season.

This weekend will feature the USFL and XFL conference championship games, with the winners advancing to the UFL Championship next Sunday.

Saturday, June 8 – 3 p.m., ABC
(2) Michigan Panthers v (1) Birmingham Stallions

XFL Conference Championship
Sunday, June 9 – 7 p.m., FOX
(2) San Antonio Brahmas v (1) St. Louis Battlehawks

The UFL Championship
Sunday, June 16 at 5 p.m., FOX

The XFL division includes the Arlington Renegades, D.C. Defenders, San Antonio Brahmas, and St. Louis Battlehawks. The USFL division consists of the Birmingham Stallions, Houston Roughnecks, Memphis Showboats, and Michigan Panthers. Three of these teams were originally part of the USFL, while the Houston team is a combination of the USFL and XFL Houston teams. The two top teams from each division qualified for the playoffs.
