On the second day of the NFL’s legal tampering period, the Pittsburgh Steelers made their first splash of the offseason as they signed former All-Pro inside linebacker Patrick Queen to a three-year contract. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Queen is set to make a total of $41 million over the next three seasons.

Many players, from the Steelers and the Ravens, have already took to social media to express their feelings about the move. Queen jumped out ahead of the media storm and posted to his social media after the news of his signing broke.

The first few Steelers players to react to the arrival of Patrick Queen was newly-signed quarterback Russell Wilson and tight end Pat Freiermuth. Linebackers coach Aaron Curry expressed his excitement in the signing with a meme that he posted on X.

While his new teammates were quick to congratulate him on his pay raise, his former teammates were equally as quick to say how much this move hurts them on a personal level. From the looks of their reactions, the Steelers got themselves a great player and an even better teammate.

Tight end Isaiah Likely, who Queen will likely now be covering, said he wishes for nothing but 0-17 seasons in Queen’s future, but said he deserves the big-money deal.
