Steelers-49ers Odds Shift after Nick Bosa Returns; Fanatics Jersey Promo

The Pittsburgh Steelers are underdogs to beat the San Francisco 49ers in their season opener at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday, and after Wednesday’s news that 49ers star edge rusher Nick Bosa will be returning to the lineup, they are bigger underdogs, at least slightly.

Odds posted on Thursday showed the Steelers as two or 2.5-point underdogs to the 49ers across the board on Thursday morning. The day before, just one book had then as 2.5-point favorites and one even had the margin at 1.5 points.

PointsBet was one of the books to make the Steelers line more forgiving after the news, sliding from +1.5 to +2. The Steelers are +115 on the money line at PointsBet, which is currently the best available odds. Steelers money line odds range from +115 to +105 at DraftKings.

The over/under total for the game has settled between 41 and 41.5, depending on the sportsbook, with MGM offering the lower total and PointsBet the higher one.

Most of the money has been coming in on the Steelers. According to Vegas Insider, 73% of the point-spread bets and 53% of the moneyline bets have come in on the Steelers.

The Steelers were 3-0 in the preseason and also 3-0 going against the point spread. The team went 10-6-1 against the spread last season, finishing as the sixth-best team against the gambling line all last season. The 49ers were even better, going 13-7 against the spread in 2022.
