Steelers’ 8-0 Start Bodes Well for Super Bowl Run

The Pittsburgh Steelers remained unbeaten after beating the Dallas Cowboys 24-19 on Sunday afternoon, and joined some elite company in the process.

Not only is Pittsburgh 8-0 for the first in franchise history, but they are just the 27th to have such a start since the 1970 merger.

Of the previous 26 franchises to reach this point undefeated, all made the playoffs and eight won the Super Bowl.

The New Orleans Saints are the most recent example from 2009, beating the Indianapolis Colts to win Super Bowl XLIV in Miami.

Pittsburgh will look to remain unblemished when they host rookie quarterback Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals at Heinz Field next week.
