Steelers Activate C/G J.C. Hassenauer from Injured Reserve
The Pittsburgh Steelers have activated center/guard J.C. Hassenauer from the injured reserve list, the team announced on Saturday.
Hassenauer has been out for three weeks since suffering a pectoral injury while filling in for starting left guard Kevin Dotson. He could re-assume that position against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. John Leglue has started the last two games at left guard.
Dotson returned to practice this week from a right high ankle sprain, but was not able to return from the injured reserve list.
The Steelers elevated guard Rashaad Coward from the practice squad as a COVID-19 replacement for tackle Zach Banner, who will miss Sunday’s game while on the COVID-19 list.
Coward, Leglue and guard/tackle Joe Haeg should be expected to provide depth behind the team’s starters.
