The Pittsburgh Steelers have activated inside linebacker Robert Spillane from the COVID-19 Reserve List, the team announced on Monday.

Spillane was placed on the list Dec. 2. Spillane had already been dealing with a knee sprain suffered in the team’s Week 12 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

His status for Thursday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings is unclear, as head coach Mike Tomlin did not specifically address Spillane’s situation during his weekly press conference on Monday, but did say that this will be a difficult week for players that do not practice to play.

Spillane has been the team’s top backup to Devin Bush and Joe Schobert. With Spillane inactive, rookie Buddy Johnson dressed for the first time this season against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

The Steelers’ 53-man roster is now full. Offensive lineman Joe Haeg remains the final Steelers player on the COVID-19 Reserve List as of right now.
