The Steelers activated center Kendrick Green from the COVID-19 list on Saturday, but it seems unlikely that Green will play on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.

Green had been dealing with a calf injury that caused him to sit out the team’s Week 17 game against the Cleveland Browns and Green missed the entire week of practice between the injury and being placed on the COVID-19 list.

Head coach Mike Tomlin explained on Tuesday that it’s difficult for him to allow a young player to play in a game after missing the entire week of practice.

“KG is just too young of a guy to get on a moving train at the latter part of the week,” Tomlin said.

J.C. Hassenauer should likely then expected to start at center for the second straight game. Rashaad Coward was elevated from the COVID-19 list, and will serve as depth at guard.
