Steelers Add Two Key Names to Injury List
The Pittsburgh Steelers added two key players to the injury report this week as the club prepares for its regular season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday.
Running back Jaylen Warren and cornerback Cory Trice Jr. are expected to be limited during the week of practice, head coach Mike Tomlin said on Monday. Tomlin declined to give specifics about the injuries, other than to call them “bumps and bruises,” and that he does not currently expect either player to miss Saturday’s game.
Both Trice and Warren finished the Steelers’ Week 17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday without any apparent issue. Trice was moved into the starting lineup after starting outside cornerback Joey Porter Jr. missed the game with a knee sprain and backup James Pierre allowed an early touchdown. Porter is expected to return this week.
Warren had his best game of the year, rushing 11 times for 71 yards and adding five catches for 41 yards, going over 100 yards from scrimmage for the first time this season. Warren has dealt with several injury issues this season.
