Steelers Afternoon Drive: Defense Dominates, Freiermuth Shines

steelers

Welcome to the Steelers Afternoon Drive, our new daily podcast featuring all the latest Steelers news and analysis.

Alan Saunders and Zachary discuss all things Pittsburgh Steelers. On today’s episode, we discuss the team’s first practice of 2024 training camp. Russell Willson is dealing with a calf injury that kept him from taking part in the team portions of practice, so Justin Fields operated as QB1. DeShon Elliott operated as the starting slot CB, with Damontae Kazee coming in as the extra DB in those packages. Beanie Bishop also saw time with the starters. DeMarvin Leal stuck out in a good way. Pat Freiermuth was the highlight in an otherwise struggle-filled day for the starting offense. Let’s go for another Steelers Afternoon Drive and discuss!
