Steelers Afternoon Drive: Do Steelers Have Enough Locker Room Leaders?
Welcome to the Steelers Afternoon Drive, our new daily podcast featuring all the latest Steelers news.
Alan Saunders and Zachary Smith are back to discuss all things Pittsburgh Steelers. Since their meeting in November, the Steelers and Bengals have gone in complete opposite directions with the Bengals finding a gameplan that works behind backup QB Jake Browning and the Steelers collapsing once Mitch Trubisky took over for an injured Kenny Pickett. Is this even more evidence of coaching issues and a bigger picture organizational issue? Going along with that, is there enough leadership on the team? From the defensive side of the ball, it sure seems like it. Cam Heyward, TJ Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick and Alex Highsmith seem to fit the bill and Joey Porter Jr. is in waiting to take on more of a role in that area. On offense? Not so much. Kenny Pickett has a lot of the qualities, but it really doesn’t matter if the play doesn’t match the message. Let’s go for another Steelers Afternoon Drive and discuss!
