Steelers Afternoon Drive: Success of NFL Backup QBs Highlights Steelers’ Failures
Welcome to the Steelers Afternoon Drive, our new daily podcast featuring all the latest Steelers news.
Alan Saunders and Zachary Smith are back to discuss all things Pittsburgh Steelers. It will be a week of wait and see for the Pittsburgh Steelers and their fans as we await to see how Alex Highsmith and TJ Watt progress through the concussion protocol ahead of Saturday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. Mike Tomlin touched on that briefly during his weekly availability as well as George Pickens’ voicing and displaying his frustration and how he needs to channel that. Lastly he ruled out Kenny Pickett and in the process confirmed Mitch Trubisky would once again be the team’s starting quarterback. Mason Rudolph will get some reps but he won’t be the starter. With the success Jake Browning and Joe Flacco have seen over the last few weeks, does that make it all the more discouraging what the Steelers have gotten from their quarterbacks? Let’s go for another Steelers Afternoon Drive and discuss!
