Welcome to the Steelers Afternoon Drive, our new daily podcast featuring all the latest Steelers news.
Alan Saunders and Zachary Smith are back to discuss the latest surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team announced they will wear their block number throwback uniforms on Sunday when the Green Bay Packers come to town for Alumni Weekend. Mike Tomlin spoke to the media and covered a ton of ground. Minkah Fitzpatrick could return to practice at some point this week, leaving the door open for a potential return this weekend. He discussed why the George Pickens’ Instagram post is a non-issue for him and he’d rather have a wide receiver who is frustrated about not getting the ball, than have the opposite of that. Broderick Jones is listed as the starting right tackle on the latest depth chart and we can expect to see him make his third career start on Sunday. In reference to a question about Kenny Pickett’s play prior to the 4th quarter, Tomlin thought it wasn’t fair to leave that out of the equation and propped up his quarterback for his play down the stretch. How much of a positive impact was having Matt Canada on the sidelines How will the Steelers look to replace what they’re losing in Cole Holcomb? Let’s go for another Steelers Afternoon Drive and talk about it!
