All 90 is a Pittsburgh Steelers Now series profiling each of the 90 members of the Steelers 2021 offseason roster.
67 • Calvin Taylor, first-year defensive end
6-foot-9, 310 pounds
Acquired: Signed by the Steelers as an undrafted free agent before the 2020 season.
Last season: Taylor was cut by the Steelers at the end of training camp and re-signed to the practice squad, where he spent the entire 2020 season.
College: Taylor finished his Kentucky career with 85 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, five pass breakups, three quarterback hurries, three forced fumbles and one fumble recover. As a senior in 2019, he was an All-SEC selection while starting all 13 games.
Camp outlook: The Steelers didn’t lose any defensive linemen and added fifth-round rookie Isaiahh Loudermilk to the position group, meaning Taylor will have to battle to keep his practice squad role.
Future: Taylor will be an exclusive rights free agent after the season.
