All 90 is a Pittsburgh Steelers Now series profiling each of the 90 members of the Steelers 2021 offseason roster.

45 • Jarvis Miller, rookie inside linebacker
6-foot-2, 225 pounds

Acquired: Signed by the Steelers as a street free agent on March 31, 2021.

Last season: Miller went undrafted as a rookie and did not appear on any pro rosters before signing with the Steelers.

College: Miller spent four seasons at Penn State before joining UMass as a graduate transfer in 2019. He played in 12 games with the Minutemen and finished fourth on the team with 60 tackles in the most extensive playing time of his career. He also had 4.5 tackles for loss, one sack and one quarterback hit.

Camp outlook: The Steelers have an impressive number of players available with experience at inside linebacker, with Marcus Allen, Devin Bush, Robert Spillane and Vince Williams all making starts in 2020 and Ulysees Gilbert, Tegray Scales and safety Miles Killebrew both owning backup experience, not to mention fourth-round pick Buddy Johnson.

That’s going to make it tough for a player like Miller to make his mark in training camp and the preseason, and a spot on the practice squad seems like the best the former Minuteman can hope for at this juncture.

Future: Miller will be an exclusive-rights free agent after the season.
