All 90 is a Pittsburgh Steelers Now series profiling each of the 90 members of the Steelers 2021 offseason roster.

49 • Cassius Marsh, eighth-year outside linebacker
6-foot-4, 254 pounds

Acquired: The Steelers signed Marsh from the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad on Dec. 9, 2020. He re-signed with the club on March 24, 2021.

Last season: Marsh started out with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but was released on Oct. 15 after playing in four games and making one start, the ninth of his career.

Marsh was picked up by the Colts on Oct. 24 and was elevated to the active roster for Weeks 10, 11 and 12. With the Steelers, Marsh played one regular season game and in the playoffs against the Browns.

In eight total games, he finished the season with 16 tackles, one quarterback hit and one forced fumble.

Career: Marsh was drafted in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks, and he spent his first three seasons in Seattle. Marsh split 2017 between New England and San Francisco.

His most productive season was 2018 with the 49ers, in which he played all 16 games, started three, and finished with 38 tackles, seven tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and 14 quarterback hits.

College: Marsh was a three-year starter at UCLA. In his senior season, he made 60 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and was named to the All-Pac 12 team.

Camp outlook: Marsh is the most experienced of the options behind starters T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith at outside linebacker and is also a longtime special teams performer.

He should be expected to have a key role in both phases in 2021, though quicker-than-expected development from sixth-round rookie Quincy Roche could cut into his playing time.

Future: Marsh will be an unrestricted free agent after the season.
