All 90 is a Pittsburgh Steelers Now series profiling each of the 90 members of the Steelers 2021 offseason roster.

4 • Jordan Berry, seventh-year punter
6-foot-5, 195 pounds

Acquired: Signed as an undrafted free agent on April 14, 2015. Re-signed with Steelers in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Last season: Was released by the team on Sept. 7 after the Steelers signed Dustin Colquitt and cleared waivers. After Colquitt averaged 43.1 yards per punt over five games, the Steelers released Colquitt and re-signed Berry.

In 11 games after being re-signed, Berry averaged 45.8 yards per kick, a career high.

Career: Berry struggled in 2017 and 2018, averaging under 44 yards per kick in each, but responded in 2019 with a 45.5 yards per kick while kicking a career-high 74 times and topped that in 2020.

Berry has been a consistently reliable holder for kicker Chris Boswell throughout his career.

College: Two-time All-Ohio Valley Conference selection at FCS Eastern Kentucky.

Camp outlook: The drafting of Ray Guy Award winner Pressley Harvin III in the seventh round this spring represents the biggest challenge yet to Berry’s hegemony over the starting job.

Harvin averaged 48 yards per kick with the Yellow Jackets last season.

The start of their battle was one of the most competitive portions of minicamp.

Future: Berry’s contract for 2021 is a one-year deal worth $1.09 million.
