80 • Mathew Sexton, rookie wide receiver
5-foot-11, 1175 pounds

Acquired: Signed by the Steelers as a street free agent on March 31, 2021.

Last season: Sexton went undrafted and unsigned out of Eastern Michigan last year and played in The Spring League in 2020.

College: Sexton caught 100 passes for 1,335 yards in his four-year career with the Eagles, averaging 13.4 yards per catch and scoring nine touchdowns. The speedy receiver was also a solid kick returner early in his EMU career, averaging 16.8 yards on 21 returns in 2016 and 2017.

Camp outlook: Sexton will have to pass an established player in order to earn even a spot on the practice squad, as the Steelers return seven wide receivers from the 2020 team.

Future: Sexton will be an exclusive-rights free agent at the end of the 2021 season.
