45 • Roosevelt Nix, fifth-year fullback
Last year: “Rosie” played in all 16 games for the Steelers as a fullback and special teamer. Did not make any starts for the first time in his career.
Stats: Made one carry for four yards, caught four passes on six targets for 38 yards. Also had seven tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery on special teams.
The Roosevelt Nix hat trick.

A punt rush is similar to the defensive line. Change the alignment of your best rusher, find the matchup you want. That's what Danny Smith on Roosevelt Nix's punt block Sunday. And it was glorious. #Steelershttps://t.co/DXElhBYzTd pic.twitter.com/X6tA0waFSM

Camp outlook: Nix will likely be the team’s top fullback, but it’s a big question how much of an impact the top fullback will have with Randy Fichtner featuring more two-tailback sets with Jaylen Samuels in front of James Conner.
Projected role: Sixth-round pick Sutton Smith playing some fullback throughout camp will keep Nix’s spot just slightly in question, but it’s tough to envision him losing it at this point to a player that hasn’t been a regular on offense since high school.
