Last year: Played in all 16 games for the first time in his career and made one start as a backup safety and special teams player.

Camp outlook: Dangerfield has been with the Steelers since 2014, but finally seemed to have fit into a solid role in 2018. He’ll face competition for that job in the form of a healthy Marcus Allen and free agent additions Dravon Askew-Henry, Kameron Kelly and P.J. Locke.
Projected role: As the most experienced backup and special teamer in the Steelers’ secondary, Dangerfield probably has more secure of a role than any other non-starter, but with so many players vying for so few spots, nothing is guaranteed.
