The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced their themes for home games at Acrisure Stadium in the 2023 season, and the highlights are usually the team’s two annual events to honor its alumni.
The Steelers will present their 2023 Hall of Honor Class in Week 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. That game will kick off at 1 p.m. on Oct. 29. The Hall of Honor dinner will take place the night before the game, and the class, which will be announced in August, will be presented at halftime against the Jaguars.
The team will also welcome many of its former players for Alumni Weekend, Nov. 11-12. There will be a dinner on Saturday, Nov. 11 that benefits the UPMC Sports Medicine concussion program, and the players well be welcomed back to Acrisure Stadium on Nov. 12 when the Steelers host the Green Bay Packers at 1 p.m. The full list of attendees has not yet been announced.
Other Steelers weekend events include the Steelers Run and Walk around Acrisure Stadium to benefit the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research and the Art Rooney Scholarship Fund before the season opener against the San Francisco 49ers on Sept. 10.
The Steelers will also take part in four NFL initiates, the Crucial Catch program to raise cancer awareness against the Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 8. Salute to Service night is on Thursday, Nov. 2, when the team hosts the Tennessee Titans. Steelers players will be able to show their support for their own charities in the My Cause, My Cleats game on Dec. 3 against the Arizona Cardinals. The NFL’s social justice efforts will be highlighted on Dec. 23 against the Cincinnati Bengals, which will also be the Steelers fan appreciation game.
Single-game tickets for the 2023 season are still on sale through the team, though availability is already limited.
