The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced jersey numbers for the 2021 draft class.
While the team unveiled running back Najee Harris would keep his No. 22 from Alabama in the immediate aftermath of his selection, those of the other rookies have been made public for the first time.
Second round pick and former Penn State tight end Pat Freiermuth will wear No. 88 for Pittsburgh.
Third round selection and former Illinois center Kendrick Green will take on No. 53, the number of his predecessor Maurkice Pouncey.
Offensive tackle Dan Moore Jr. and inside linebacker Buddy Johnson will wear No. 65 and 51, respectively. No. 51 was worn by Avery Williamson last season. No. 65 had previously belonged to offensive lineman Jerald Hawkins.
Former Wisconsin defensive end Isaiahh Loudermilk will sport No. 92. Most recognized as the number of former Steeler pass rusher James Harrison, it was worn by linebacker Ola Adeniyi in 2020.
Edge rusher Quincy Roche is taking on No. 48, giving him big shoes to fill in Pittsburgh’s pass rush for the recently departed Bud Dupree.
Lastly, safety Tre Norwood and punter Pressley Harvin III will wear No. 21 and 6, respectively.
