Steelers-Bengals Inactives: Mike Hilton Remains Out, Anthony McFarland to Miss Game with Illness

— PITTSBURGH, PA While both teams were able to activate players who previously had to be held out due to COVID-19, the Steelers and Bengals will still be without several key players in Sunday’s game.

Running back Anthony McFarland will not play after being listed as out with a “sickness” most of the week. This is in contrast to Vance McDonald, who played against the Cowboys despite missing practice time with the same distinction on the injury report. Results of McDonald testing positive were then announced the day following the gam, which as been common for the NFL this season based on when players are tested. The Steelers have not said if McFarland’s absence is COVID related.

Even though some signs pointed to Mike Hilton returning to acting for today’s game, the corner remains listed as inactive. Cincinnati will be without running back Joe Mixon for the third straight week. Mixon has a foot injury. Giovani Bernard will start in his place.
