The betting lines for Week 14 of the NFL season opened in the Steelers’ favor, as the team’s opening line for its Sunday Night Football visit to Buffalo had the club as favorites on the road in Western New York.
But those odds, released on Sunday before the Steelers’ upset loss to Washington on Monday evening, have changed significantly.
The Steelers opened as two-point favorites, but as of Thursday morning, the line had moved more than four points, with the Steelers now 2.5-point underdogs to Josh Allen and the Bills.
Pittsburgh has been an underdog twice other time this season, winning as a one-point underdog at Tennessee and a four-point underdog at Baltimore. The Steelers are 8-4 against the spread overall, covering in six of the 10 games they’ve been favored to win and losing Monday’s game outright.
Buffalo is 8-3 overall and 7-5 against the spread this season, and 4-4 as a favorite. The Bills have won four straight against the spread, but were underdogs in three of those four. Buffalo has lost just once as a favorite, against Tennessee on oct. 13.
The point total for the game is 46. There will be no fans in attendance at Bills Stadium on Sunday night for the 8:20 p.m. kickoff.
