Steelers Bring Back ILB Tegray Scales from Bengals Practice Squad
The Pittsburgh Steelers have brought back a familiar face to deal with a lack of depth at inside linebacker.
With starters Devin Bush and Joe Schobert on the COVID-19 reserve list and backup Buddy Johnson out with a foot injury, the team signed inside linebacker Tegray Scales on Saturday from the practice squad of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Scales, 25 has spent parts of each of the last two seasons with the Steelers. He spent all of the 2019 offseason with the club, but was waived after training camp. After stints in the XFL and with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he re-joined the Steelers in 2020.
He played in four games with the club last season without recording any statistics.
This season, he has spent time with the Cleveland Browns and Bengals, before being signed back by the Steelers.
