Steelers Bring Back Speedy Wide Receiver
The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing back speedy veteran wide receiver Scotty Miller for the 2025 NFL season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are adding even more speed to their wide receiver room for the 2025 season, re-signing wide receiver Scotty Miller to a one-year deal, according to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Miller, 27, spent the 2024 season with the Steelers, recording five catches for 69 yards in 13 games. He now returns as a depth piece once again in a room that now includes DK Metcalf, George Pickens, Calvin Austin III and Roman Wilson.

The 5-foot-9, 179-pound wide receiver has the ability to take the top off the defense, running a 4.36-second 40-yard dash and a 4.02-second short shuttle at his pro day. But what may be even more important is his connection with Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith.
The two spent the 2023 season together with the Atlanta Falcons with whom he was the No. 5 wide receiver option in terms of targets. It is expected he will play a similar role with the Steelers once again in 2025.
Before signing with Atlanta in 2023, Miller spent four seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who selected him out of Bowling Green in the sixth round (No. 208 overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft.
He played in 10 games and made two starts as a rookie in 2019, and saw his workload increase in 2020, when he started five games, played in all 16 and caught 33 passes for a career-high 501 yards and two touchdowns.
Miller missed a big chunk of the 2021 season with turf toe, and never seemed to regain his previous level of production. He caught just five passes for 38 yards in nine games that season. In 2022, he played in 15 games and made one start. Miller was targeted 40 times, but caught just 23 for 185 yards.
In his lone season with the Falcons, Miller recorded 11 catches for 161 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games.
