The Pittsburgh Steelers opened as fairly significant underdogs to the Cleveland Browns for their Week 11 game this Sunday, but after Wednesday’s news that Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson will miss the game and the rest of the 2023 season, the betting line has come rushing back toward Pittsburgh.

The Steelers opened as 4-point underdogs to the Browns for this Sunday’s 1 p.m. kickoff game from the shores of Lake Erie. With Watson out, that line is now just Browns -1.

The total scoring in the game moved even farther. The over/under total for the game opened at 38.5 and is now 32.5. The Steelers moneyline has gone from +160 to even money.

The Steelers have been underdogs six times in nine games this season, with a 4-2 record against the spread and also a 4-2 record overall. They beat the Browns outright in Week 2, winning 26-22 as two-point underdogs. They’ve also beaten the Baltimore Ravens, Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Rams outright as underdogs. They lost and failed to cover against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 and the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8.

The Browns are 5-3-1 against the spread on the season, but are just 2-2 as favorites. They lost outright to the Steelers in Week 2 and failed to cover a 3.5-point spread in a 39-38 win over Indianapolis on Oct. 22. They covered a 3.5-point spread in Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans and a 13-point spread against the Arizona Cardinals two weeks ago.

The Steelers have had seven of their nine games go under the total, including that Week 2 game against the Browns, but their win over the Packers went over on Sunday, with 42 points scored against a total of 38.5. Five of Cleveland’s nine games have gone over the total.
