AT STAKE

It’s hard to remember a regular-season game with fewer expectations on the Steelers than this one. The team sits at 1-4 after their drubbing by Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills last week, and the team’s secondary is even more beat up this week against Brady. The only real thing the Steelers seem to be able to have real hope of doing is establishing something more substantial on offense, showing continued development for Pickett and perhaps getting Najee Harris going, now that he’s 100% healthy after a preseason foot injury.

TRANSACTIONS

The Steelers put defensive end DeMarvin Leal (knee) on the injury reserve list, added cornerback Josh Jackson to their 53-man roster and elevated safety Elijah Riley and cornerback Quincy Wilson from the practice squad.

INJURY REPORT

SS Terrell Edmunds (concussion) will return to the lineup after missing the Bills game.

FS Minkah Fitzpatrick (knee), TE Pat Freiermuth (concussion), CB Cam Sutton (knee), CB Ahkello Witherspoon (hamstring), CB Levi Wallace (concussion) are all out.

De DeMarvin Leal (knee) will miss his first of four games while on the injured reserve list. WR Calvin Austin III (foot sprain), S Damontae Kazee (arm) and OLB T.J. Watt (pectoral muscle, knee surgery) have already spent their mandatory four weeks on the list, but have not been activated.

Tampa DE Akiem Hicks (foot), CB Sean Murphy-Bunting (quad) and DB Logan Ryan (foot) are out. WR Julio Jones (knee) is doubtful. FS Mike Edwards (elbow) is questionable.

FROM THE OTHER SIDE

Brady came under fire for skipping his team’s walkthrough on Saturday to attend the surprise wedding of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft on Friday night.
