Pittsburgh Steelers defenders Cam Heyward and T.J. Watt were named to the Pro Football Writers of America’s All-NFL team for the 2021 season.

The Steelers were one of seven teams with multiple players selected to the end-of-season award team. Five teams had three selections. Both players were also named All-AFC selections.

Heyward earned his second All-NFL selection after recording a double-digit sack total for the second time in his career. Heyward was also selected to the AP All-Pro team, AFC Pro Bowl squad and is the Steelers’ nominee for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award.

Watt was selected for the third consecutive season. He tied the NFL single-season sack record with 22.5 sacks, the second straight season he led the league in sacks. He was named the Steelers’ MVP for the third straight season, is a part of the AP All-Pro team and was also named to the AFC Pro Bowl squad.
