Chase Claypool Ruled Out vs. Packers

Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool has been ruled out of Sunday’s game in Green Bay against the Packers.

The second year receiver out of Notre Dame was initially listed as questionable with a hamstring injury, but after missing practice Friday, was officially ruled out for Sunday.

This once again opens the door for James Washington, who will get more snaps in the wake of Claypool’s absence. Washington started in Week 3 due to Diontae Johnson being out with a knee injury and caught three passes.

The Steelers will be getting Johnson back this week, though, which is a huge boost to their offense. JuJu Smith-Schuster is also expected to play. All three will need to have solid production without Claypool on Sunday.

On the defensive side of the ball, both T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith will return to the lineup after missing Week 3. The Steelers failed to register a sack for the first time in 76 games without Watt and Highsmith, so their returns will be very welcomed.

The Steelers will need the full arsenal of talent to take down the Packers and end this brief losing streak and get to 2-2.
