NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV experienced immense lagging and buffering on Sunday, causing Pittsburgh Steelers fans to voice their displeasure on social media platforms. This is the first season Sunday Ticket has aired on YouTube TV, following the package’s nearly 30-year run on DirecTV. Things ran smoothly on the new platform for the first seven weeks, but Sunday was a colossal failure.

Via Cindy Boren of the Washington Post, customers complained when experiencing issues on Sunday. YouTube TV acknowledged the issues, saying it was “working on a fix.” Per Boren, the issues lasted into the second half of the early games on Sunday.

🏈 The Pittsburgh Steelers are the only team in the NFL with less than 10 first downs in the first quarter this season. They have just 9 first downs. Their offense has scored only 7 first-quarter points, too.

Chris Mueller of 93.7 The Fan wonders how long can the Steelers slow starts on offense continue until Mike Tomlin makes a change.

“How many games in a row and how bad would it have to look for him to admit that the offense is really bad and he has to dig in there himself because the process is so bad? Would they just have to lose a bunch in a row?” Mueller said.

🏈 Former NFL defensive end Chris Long has been critical of Steelers offensive coordinator Matt Canada’s play-calling this season, but he thinks the execution part was more of an issue in Sunday’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“It’s easy to blame Matt Canada. Every week, it’s Matt Canada’s fault. How about f****** executing, okay?” Long said on his podcast.

🏈 A man from the Atlanta area was in Allegheny County Jail Monday morning after he was arrested at Acrisure Stadium during the Steelers game on Sunday. According to records, 33-year-old Richard Bryant of Fairburn, Georgia was reportedly swinging a towel around, hitting people near him in section 133 around 1:40 p.m. He was escorted out of the stadium and officially ejected and was not allowed to reenter the stadium. Then just after 3:20 p.m., officers once again found Bryant in section 133. He was once again kicked out and was not released from police custody because of a “lack of adherence to police authority” and having an out of state license. Bryant faces a misdemeanor charge of defiant trespassing. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 9.

🏈 Jacksonville Jaguars safety Andrew Wingard finds it funny that Steelers Nation is upset with him for disrespecting the Terrible Towel.

“These grown men crying about their tiny towels is bringing me so much joy 😂😂,”  Wingard wrote on his Instagram Story.

🏈 Rapper Jack Harlow revealed on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown that he’s a massive Steelers fan. He grew up liking the Steelers because of his dad and Ryan Clark was one of his favorite players.

🎂 Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Dick Flanagan was born on Oct. 31, 1926 in Sidney, Ohio. Flanagan went to Ohio State and was a 10th round pick of the Chicago Bears in 1948. He also played center and guard in his career and bounced from Chicago to Detroit to Pittsburgh, where he spent his last three NFL seasons as a starting linebacker from 1953-55.

The Flanagan Sports Complex is named for him in his hometown of Sidney, which is between Dayton and Toledo in western Ohio, and his jersey number has been retired by his high school.

Happy 27th birthday to former Steelers running back Kerrith Whyte Jr. Whyte played six games for the Steelers in 2019 after they signed him off the Chicago Bears practice squad. He was released in 2020 and spent time with the Lions, Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos, but has not appeared in another NFL game.

Whyte played with the Memphis Showboats of the USFL this spring, rushing 77 times for 281 yards and one touchdown.

🎥 NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger broke down the play where Kenny Pickett missing a wide-open Diontae Johnson in the end zone against the Jaguars. It should have been an easy touchdown. The Steelers could have took a 7-6 lead late in the second quarter but instead settled for a 22-yard Chris Boswell field goal.

“You got exactly the rub you need. Diontae Johnson is breaking free with the free safety going away from the ball. It should be a gimme … but they’re late. It’s just not good enough right now. This play has to be made, it just does,” Baldinger said.
