The Tennessee Titans could be on the verge of cutting another marquee player, one that the Pittsburgh Steelers could have significant interest in, and some former NFL head coaches suggested some improvements for the Steelers.
The Titans have already released left tackle Taylor Lewan and wide receiver Robert Woods. Jon Burton of New Channel 5 in Nashville says that he expects former Steelers outside linebacker Bud Dupree to be on the chopping block, as well.
“They paid big money for him as a free agent, as you well know, and he’s done next to nothing but get hurt a lot and try to come back and then get hurt again and then try to come back and get hurt again,” Burton said in an appearance on 93.7 the Fan this week.

Dupree signed a five-year, $82-million contract with the Titans in 2021, but has played just 17 games over the last two seasons while dealing with significant injury issues. He has just seven sacks over his two seasons in Tennessee.
The Steelers have been desperately searching for depth behind starters T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith since Durpee left.
? 33rd Team: Former NFL head coaches Marvin Lewis and Mike Zimmer laid out three ways for the Steelers to improve in 2023, and two of them come on the offense. The two ex-coaches said the Steelers need to continue to develop quarterback Kenny Pickett, improve the rushing attack with Najee Harris and bring the defensive back to being explosive in rushing the passer.
? The Athletic: Mitch Trubisky is a contender to be a salary cap casualty, potentially saving the Steelers $8 million.
