The AFC Championship might be remembered for its controversial calls, or the Cincinnati Bengals melting down with a bad penalty at the end, depending on who you were rooting for — it’s probably not a mystery which side of that spectrum Pittsburgh Steelers fans are on.

Yahoo!: Referee Ron Tolbert explained the apparent extra down given to the Kansas City Chiefs last night, among other things, in his pool report.

Spectrum News 1: Bengals linebacker Jermaine Pratt was visibly upset with the ending of that game — particularly with the late hit by Joseph Ossai on Patrick Mahomes that got the Chiefs in comfortable field goal range to win the game.

Super Bowl LVII between the Eagles and Chiefs will be the first in history featuring two Black starting quarterbacks in Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts.

NFL Research: Travis Kelce passed Julian Edelman for the second-most receiving yards in NFL postseason history. Now, only Jerry Rice (2,245) has more than Kelce. Kelce also tied Rob Gronkowski for the second-most receiving touchdowns (15) in postseason history, behind only Rice (22).

Pro Football Hall of Fame: At Super Bowl LVII, Donna Kelce will officially become the first mother to have two sons play against each other in the Super Bowl.

CBS Sports: Patrick Mahomes’ 10 playoff wins before age 28 are the most in NFL history, ahead of Tom Brady (9) and Ben Roethlisberger (8). Mahomes also passed Brady as the youngest quarterback to reach three Super Bowls.

Former Steelers left guard and Hall of Famer Alan Faneca wonders if the Eagles had the easiest road to the Super Bowl in NFL history. The Eagles out-scored the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers, 69-14, to reach Super Bowl LVII.

Pro Football Hall of Fame: Sunday was the 48th anniversary of the Steelers selecting four future Hall of Famers in the first five rounds of the 1974 NFL Draft. Donnie Shell, who was an undrafted free agent in 1974, is also a Hall of Famer.

24/7 Sports: Jerome Bettis Jr., the son of NFL Hall of Fame running back and Steelers legend Jerome Bettis, was on campus at Alabama Saturday for Junior Day. Bettis is a 6-2, 175-pound receiver at Woodward Academy in Atlanta. He has yet to be rated by the major recruiting services, but Ohio State and his dad’s alma mater Notre Dame are looking at him, in addition to Alabama. Bettis is a part of the 2025 recruiting class.
