The estate of former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins reached settlements with the truck driver, truck owner and truck broker filed in connection with the April 2022 death. The case continues to proceed against the other defendants. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk wrote an in-depth piece on the Haskins wrongful death civil complaint, and included the names of the defendants in the litigation, unlike the report from the Associated Press.

According to Florio, Joey Smith, Meriem Yassine, Wissal Yassine, and Karlee Peyton are accused of “drugging [Haskins] to blackmail and rob him.” Florio states that if there was any real doubt about the identity of the persons who allegedly drugged and blackmailed/robbed Haskins, they presumably would have been joined as John Doe defendants — as the DOT contractor was.

🏈 ESPN analyst and Pitt product Louis Riddick thinks Kenny Pickett put his doubters on notice with his 25-yard touchdown pass to Pat Freiermuth on Saturday night against the Buffalo Bills.

“Y’all keep thinking K Pickett can’t throw that thing down field…keep on thinking that…,” Riddick tweeted.
