? Breiden Fehoko being a Steeler was meant to be. Fehoko’s mom posted a photo of him with a Troy Polamalu jersey on when he was a kid shortly after the news broke that he was signing with Pittsburgh. “Mom this picture is INSANE OMG,” Fehoko tweeted. Fehoko is the third Hawaiian to sign with the Steelers in free agency, joining guards Nate Herbig and Isaac Seumalo. Seumalo is also from Honolulu like Fehoko.

? Former Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor, who’s currently a scout for Pittsburgh, was at the Florida pro day on Thursday. Quarterback Anthony Richardson, wide receiver Justin Shorter, defensive tackle Gervon Dexter and guard O’Cyrus Torrence were the main attractions in Gainesville. It was previously reported that Torrence has a pre-draft visit scheduled with the Steelers.

? Mike Tomlin wished the Pirates good luck this season. “Baseball is back. Good luck this season @derekshelton and the @Pirates,” Tomlin tweeted. The Pirates defeated the Cincinnati Reds, 5-4, on Opening Day.

? NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger broke down tape on Nate Herbig’s brother Nick, who was an outside linebacker at Wisconsin and is in this year’s draft. “This guy is ready to go play,” Baldinger said. “You want linebackers? Go to Wisconsin, go to Madison. They’re all there. Any kind you want.” Nick Herbig is projected to be a mid-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

? Minkah Fitzpatrick recently visited Anfield for the first time to watch a Liverpool game. Fitzpatrick is a Liverpool fan.

? WTAE: Former Steelers equipment manager Tony Parisi celebrated his 90th birthday on Thursday. Parisi was with the franchise from 1965-1996. Prior to his long run with the Steelers, he was a backup goalie and equipment manager for the Pittsburgh Hornets.
