Pat McAfee said this is the first season he feels there is a chance the Pittsburgh Steelers could move on from Mike Tomlin as head coach.

“As somebody that was born and raised in Pittsburgh, I appreciate all the happiness that Mike Tomlin has delivered to Yinzers on a very regular basis. I always like the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers go from Bill Cowher for 20 years into Mike Tomlin for 20 years. A nice little consistent, kind of comfortable, let’s not get too high on the highs, too low on the lows. But, with everything that’s taking place right now with this particular offense and this particular Steelers team, it feels as if Yinzers are getting to a point where it’s like, hey Tomlin, a lot of these stats that people have been pointing out for the last six, seven, eight, nine years are all coming to a point,” McAfee said.

🏈 NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger broke down the Steelers’ fourth-and-1 play against the Houston Texans on Sunday. Baldinger thought the Steelers overthought the whole thing by throwing the ball out of shotgun.

“Steelers it’s 4-1. Not 4-10. Not 4-15. Its 4th & 1. 36 inches to get a first down and give yourself a chance. Stop overthinking!” Baldinger said.

🏈 Aaron Rodgers said on the Pat McAfee Show that Ben Roethlisberger would be a good offensive coordinator in the NFL. “Ben was like me. Probably one of the last quarterbacks who could call their own plays. I also loved watching him in those situations. They’d be behind by a couple of scores or in the two minute drill and he’s calling it. I think Ben could do it. He could call it in his sleep at the line of scrimmage.”

🏈 Stephen A. Smith is not impressed with Kenny Pickett, but no one irritates him more than Matt Canada.

“We look at Kenny Pickett, I see the quarterback, I’m not impressed. 12 interceptions, 11 touchdowns and 16 games in the NFL. Why the hell would I be impressed in that? But there is nobody who I believe warmer to my wrath more than Matt Canada, the offensive coordinator,” Smith said.

🎥  Brian Baldinger broke down the Steelers’ trap concept that they ran on Sunday against the Texans, which they had great success in running. Baldinger was confused why they didn’t start the game with these concepts.

“You should have known from the first quarter, like you can block this. They’re a four-man front, they got a lot of young kids in there. Haven’t played a lot of football. Trap the hell out of them! That’s what the Steelers of the ’70s did all day long,” Baldinger said.
