Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward thinks the “sky’s the limit” for Kenny Pickett.
“Going into the second year of our quarterback, the sky’s the limit for him,” Heyward told John Middlekauff of The Volume. “I think Kenny has done a tremendous job to get us to this point, but I know he’s chomping at the bit for more. You know, he’s a hungry quarterback and to surround him with a lot of moving parts, whether it’s another wide receiver in Allen Robinson, more depth on the O-line. And I just think solidifying that group can do wonders for him. If he’s got time back there and he’s able to process a little bit more, I think he’s going to have a lot of success going forward.”
? The Carton Show: Former Steelers wide receiver Plaxico Burress shared a moment when Ben Roethlisberger helped him reach an incentive. “I had a situation where we were playing in Buffalo, it was (Week 17), we were 15-1 in ’04. It was pouring down rain, and I went to Ben and was like, ‘Look dawg, I need 5 catches and I get like $650,000,'” Burress laughed.
“We were only playing two series, the coach had told us that. We would call a run play, and we would get to the line of scrimmage, and Ben would just look at me raises eyebrows and just throw the ball at me. So I caught like five balls for three yards. After I caught the fifth ball, we came to the sideline and Ben was like, ‘You owe me.'”
