A person with direct knowledge of the negotiations says the New York Jets and Bell have agreed to a deal early Wednesday morning, Mach 13, 2019, a person with direct knowledge of the negotiations told The Associated Press. The deal gives new coach Adam Gase and second-year quarterback Sam Darnold a big-time playmaker, arguably the best player at his position before Bell opted to sit out all of last season rather than sign a franchise tender with Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi bought his parents their dream home. Ogunjobi posted photos on Instagram of his family holding signs that read, “We said yes to the address” and “We found our dream home.”

Najee Harris threw out the first pitch at the Oakland Athletics game on Friday night. Harris is a Bay Area native.

New York Jets general manager Joe Douglas literally predicted that the Steelers would trade ahead of them with the New England Patriots to select Broderick Jones at 14th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. Iowa State edge Will McDonald IV was the Jets’ top target the entire time also, not Jones like many assumed.

Former Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell admitted on the Steel Here podcast with Kevin Adams and Jersey Jerry of Barstool Sports that he used to smoke weed before games. Bell brought it up while talking about the infamous marijuana arrest with LeGarrette Blount in 2014 that led to him being suspended for two games.

“Looking back on this, like bro, like, that’s what I did,” Bell said. “When I was playing football, I smoked bro. like even before the games I’d smoke, you know, I’d go out there and run for 150 (yards) two (touchdowns).”
