Steelers Daily Links: Former GM Rips Canada, Worry for Pickett
? The Pittsburgh Steelers players and their families hit the runway at Rock Steelers Style 2023 on Friday night, the team’s annual fashion show. This year’s theme was ‘Gameday: Fashion Edition,’ and from sideline gear to game day fits, everything was included. Rock Steelers Style is the Steelers largest annual philanthropic event, benefiting UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program, Cancer Bridges, and the Chuck Noll Foundation. The show, which is estimated to be in its 55th season, was co-chaired by Art and Greta Rooney and Mike and Kiya Tomlin. Running back Najee Harris and outside linebacker Alex Highsmith were the co-captains.
Running back Jaylen Warren showed off his dance moves at the event.

? Former NFL executive and current host at 105.7 The Fan in Baltimore Vinny Cerrato thinks Matt Canada’s offense is hindering Kenny Pickett.
“Inconsistent. Watching the Houston film, the pass routes are so basic. I don’t know if that it’s all Pickett’s fault. I kind of feel bad for Pickett a little bit,” https://twitter.com/937theFan/status/1710300200479211658/photo/1″>Cerrato

? With a banged-up knee, former Steelers guard Ramon Foster thinks it’s risky to play Kenny Pickett against the Baltimore Ravens.
“Absolutely not. I save him. I save him because there’s not much you can do in a game like this. You can’t risk sending a lame duck out there if his knee is bothered like that,” Foster said on his podcast. “Mobility is a part of Kenny’s game and that’s also why Kenny got in trouble last week. Kenny needs to realize he is the franchise, this wanting to be the hero stuff gotta be put on the back burner now.”
? Steelers defensive tackle Keeanu Benton is the https://twitter.com/_MLFootball/status/1710362172084322640″>sixth
highest-graded rookie (78.6) by Pro Football Focus through four weeks.
? Former Steelers running back Jerome Bettis recently spoke with USA TODAY Sports’ Mackenzie Salmon, host of Sports Seriously, about Najee Harris and the Steelers’ running game. Bettis thinks the offensive line needs to do a better job of creating space for Harris.
“He’s supremely talented from a physical perspective,” Bettis said of Harris. “He has the ability to jump over you, he can go around, he can go through you. It’s just about giving him a little bit of space to operate.”
? Nearly 50 percent of the Steelers’ drives this season have resulted in three-and-outs, which leads the league.

? Stephen A. Smith delivered a stern message to Chase Claypool, who’s now on his third team in less than a year. The Chicago Bears sent Claypool and a 2025 seventh-round draft pick to Miami in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round pick, the teams announced on Friday.
“Chase Claypool, please listen to me. … You are developing a very bad reputation. … If you keep getting moved, the message is going to be indelibly sent, you’re not somebody they want in the locker room,” Smith said.
