The Pittsburgh Steelers do not appear to be particularly interested in free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., but that doesn’t mean the calls for them to sign him have stopped.
ESPN: Appearing on Get Up analyst Dan Orlovsky said that the Steelers should sign Beckham, despite the fact that they didn’t even bother to send a scout to his private workout.
“I look at the AFC and I say [the Steelers] have got to add firepower and people to slow down firepower because of the Chiefs,” Orlovsky said. “[Signing Beckham] automatically does that for Pittsburgh.”
? New Steelers guard Isaac Seumalo is already feeling the love from the Steelers fanbase.
“First, I would like to thank the city of brotherly love for taking me in 2016 so many memories,” Seumalo Tweeted on Sunday. “Again Thank you to the O-line of the Philadelphia Eagles. Pittsburgh I’m for what is next. Saw how many of the Pittsburgh fans followed me and that let me know I’m in good hands!
? XFL: Former Steelers cornerback Shakur Brown had a game-sealing interception for the Arlington Renegades against Hines Ward’s San Antonio Brahmas team on Sunday night in XFL action. Brown, an undrafted free agent out of Michigan State in 2020, also had four tackles.
Arlington won 12-10 to move to 3-2, while San Antonio dropped to 1-4 at the season’s midpoint. They both trail 4-1 Houston and are battling for the second playoff spot in the XFL South.
HE CALLED GAME! Just when there's a spark of hope for the @XFLBrahmas, Jack Coan throws an interception to @XFLRenegades defensive back and former @MSU_Football Spartan Shakur Brown.
