The contract details have been revealed for former Pittsburgh Steelers safety Terrell Edmunds and it seems like the Philadelphia Eagles got a pretty good deal.
? Terrell Edmunds got just $2 million on his one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Aaron Wilson, though incentives in the contract could push the total higher. It’s a cheap deal for Edmunds, which makes his departure from Pittsburgh even more interesting. Edmunds tweeted on Friday, “Man time, it still feel crazy .. but I’m an Eagle now ???.”
Former Steelers offensive lineman and current Philadelphia sports media analyst Barrett Brooks is shocked that Pittsburgh didn’t retain Terrell Edmunds.
? Aaron Wilson also revealed the financial details of new Steelers offensive tackle La’Raven Clark’s contract. Clark received a one-year, $1.215 million deal that includes a $50,000 signing bonus from Pittsburgh.
? Longtime ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper said Kenny Pickett would be the fifth-best quarterback in this year’s draft class. “If he were in this draft, he’d probably be in the fifth spot, solidly behind that top group,” Kiper said during a conference call. … “I would say he’d still be in that first round, certainly the fifth quarterback taken with four guys potentially going in the top five.” In his latest mock draft, Kiper has Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud going first to Carolina, Alabama’s Bryce Young second to Houston, Kentucky’s Will Levis third to Indianapolis (as the result of a mock trade with Arizona) and Florida’s Anthony Richardson fifth to Seattle.
? Pat Freiermuth is thrilled to have fellow tight end and close friend Zach Gentry back in Pittsburgh.
? Warren Sharp: Over the last five years, players who have been drafted by the Steelers have tailed 79,791 total snaps, which is the seventh-most in the league. Under the same metrics, the Dallas Cowboys have the most snaps (91,901), while the Las Vegas Raiders have the fewest (11,904).
? NBC Sports named Jaylen Warren as one of the most underrated running backs in the NFL. As an undrafted rookie free agent in 2022 with the Steelers, Warren recorded 379 yards rushing on 77 carries (4.9 average) and 28 receptions for 214 yards (7.6 average).
? Mike Tomlin repped Uptown clothing brand while boarding a private jet.
