🏈 Via the Pat McAfee Show, Adam Schefter thinks the Pittsburgh Steelers are stuck with Matt Canada for the rest of the season. Not that they can’t do it, he just thinks it’s challenging to make a change during the season. He said at the end of last year was the time to get rid of Canada if they were going to do it.

🏈 The Steelers rank dead last in expected points added at 0.17, according to Seth Walder of ESPN. Kenny Pickett is also dead last in success rate (32.14%). Through four games, the Steelers’ offense is averaging just 12.5 points per game.

🏈 Overall, the Steelers’ offensive line struggled against the Houston Texans, but left guard Isaac Seumalo had an impressive game. According to Pro Football Focus, Seumalo allowed no pressures or hurries on 32 pass blocking snaps.

🏈 Former Steelers tight end Eric Ebron said on X that Matt Canada is waisting the careers of Najee Harris, George Pickens and Kenny Pickett.

🏈 Per Sheil Kapadia of The Athletic, Pittsburgh has now gone 39 straight games under offensive coordinator Matt Canada without gaining 400+ yards. During that span, other teams have gained 400+ yards 295 times – or 9.5 times per team. The Steelers had 225 yards of offense on Sunday. They’ve been under 300 in 3 of 4 games this season.

On his interception, Texans cornerback Steven Nelson said he was ready for Calvin Austin III’s deep post route. He said it was the same formation that Austin scored his 72-yard touchdown versus Vegas. Former Pittsburgh inside linebacker Ryan Shazier was disappointed in the fact that it Nelson made the play because of film study.

“They have to do better. This isnt madden these are professionals,” Shazier said about the Steelers on X.

Longtime Steelers fan Snoop Dogg even called for Matt Canada to be fired on Instagram. Snoop is also not happy with what he’s seen from Kenny Pickett, stating that the Steelers need a new quarterback.

🎂 Happy Birthday to former Steelers safety Cornell Gowdy, born on October 2, 1963 in Washington D.C. Gowdy was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Steelers after the 1985 NFL Draft.. He was waived before the start of the season on July 30. He returned to the Steelers in 1987 and was a part of the Steelers replacement team as the NFLPA was on strike. He started three games and remained with the Steelers after the strike ended. In 1988, he started 14 games, while taking over the strong safety position left by Donnie Shell. He was released on September 4, 1989.

🎥 Warren Sharp of Sharp Football revealed some shocking numbers on Matt Canada’s offense since he became the Steelers’ OC in 2021.
