? Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt’s 96.5 sacks are the most in the NFL since 2016. Watt was not even drafted until 2017, too. Watt has led the league in sacks three times in his seven-year career (2020, 2021 and 2023). In 2021, Watt tied Michael Strahan for the NFL single-season sack record (22.5).

? David Kenyon of Bleacher Report thinks Steelers wide receiver Van Jefferson will be a bust. Jefferson could be the Steelers’ No. 2 wide receiver in 2024.
“Van Jefferson put together a solid 2022 campaign on the Los Angeles Rams, tallying 802 yards and six touchdowns. Otherwise, though, he’s totaled 798 yards in three seasons. Pittsburgh, as currently constructed, is counting on Jefferson to hold a significant role. The risk is apparent,” Kenyon wrote.

? Pro Football Talk: Visit Detroit and the Detroit Sports Commission said today that the 2024 NFL Draft generated a $213.6 million economic impact for the region, of which about three-fourths, $161.3 million, came from visitors who traveled from outside Southeast Michigan to spend money at Detroit hotels, restaurants and other businesses.
An estimated 775,000 people attended draft-related festivities, spending an average of $275 per person. Visitors came from all 50 states and 20 different countries.
Pittsburgh will host the NFL Draft in 2026. The economic impact for the region should be astronomical.
? Minnesota Vikings wide receiver and former Pitt star Jordan Addison was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after being caught asleep at the wheel near LAX, per Luke Evans of the Orange County Register.
