? Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports has the Pittsburgh Steelers selecting Oregon center Jackson Powers-Johnson at 20th overall in his latest mock draft.
“There are very few holes in Jackson Powers-Johnson’s game. He can play either guard or center in the NFL, and this pick for the Steelers should give fans the same feeling they had when the team took Maurkice Pouncey or David DeCastro in Round 1,” Wilson wrote.
? Former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Fred Taylor said the first thing that comes to his mind when he sees the Steelers logo is himself. Taylor rushed for 982 yards on 231 carries (4.2 average) and eight touchdowns (10 overall) in 12 games against the Steelers in his career.
In a Jaguars’ 34-24 Week 6 win over the Steelers in 2000, Taylor rushed for 234 yards on 30 carries (7.8 average) and three touchdowns. He also had a receiving touchdown. Taylor’s 234 yards rushing is the most the Steelers have allowed in franchise history in single game.

? Russell Wilson currently has the best odds (-200) to land with the Steelers at DraftKings Sportsbook. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk thinks it’s a bad bet.
“Steelers are a bad bet. They seem to be genuinely committed to Pickett vs. Rudolph. Also, Russ might not want to take $1.21M there and risk losing starting job to the team’s 2022 first-rounder. He will want clear QB1 spot,” https://twitter.com/ProFootballTalk/status/1765052488070451373″>Florio

Morning Football raved about this year’s offensive line class. He thinks it’s possibly the best ever.
“My big takeaway from the 2024 Combine is that it’s the greatest offensive line draft class we’ve seen in some time… maybe ever. There are 12, yes, 12 guys who I could see get taken on Day One,” Schrager said.
? Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth will host a youth camp this summer. The event will be held on July 13 at Pine-Richland High School from 9 a.m t0 12 p.m. It’s open to boys and girls, grades 1-8.
? Former Steelers play-by-play radio announcer Bill Hillgrove thanked the fans for all the support throughout his career. Hillgrove announced his retirement last Thursday from Steelers Nation Radio after 30 seasons.
“If it’s not for the fans, we don’t have a game,” Hillgrove told Tim Benz of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “And if not for the game, we don’t have a platform,” Hillgrove said. “You have to bow to the fans. For me to step aside, if you would ask me to reduce my speech to two words, it would be ‘thank you.’ And that would be in the direction of the fans.”
? Former Steelers strong safety Troy Polamalu discussed the art of defense, chasing Ed Reed and life after football on the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast.
? Colin Cowherd of FS1 believes Russell Wilson is the ideal fit for the Steelers’ offense.
"Russell and Kirk Cousins can stabilize… Their ceiling may be lower, but their floor is pretty high."
