? After the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 44-38 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, wide receiver Calvin Austin III posted a photo on his Instagram Story of him wearing a Russell Wilson jersey as a kid. Austin had a 23-yard touchdown reception from Wilson on Sunday.
Austin, who has emerged as a deep threat for the Steelers this season, has four touchdown receptions on the year. He’s recorded a touchdown reception in each of the last two games.
After back-to-back injury-riddled seasons, Austin has really blossomed in the passing game with Wilson as his QB. And it turns out, it’s a full circle moment, as Wilson was a player that Austin looked up to growing up.
This is really dope! Calvin Austin III wearing a Russell Wilson Seahawks’ jersey as a kid. Austin has now caught TDs from Russ in back-to-back games for the #Steelers.
